LET'S EAT: Sweet Local Strawberries

The long-awaited strawberry season was later than usual this year but New Brunswickers are now finally able enjoy the fresh, sweet taste of local strawberries. They are available in most fruit & veggie stands, country markets, and grocery stores throughout Southern New Brunswick and are in super-high demand.

The other day, we made some delicious strawberry shortcake desserts with the locally grown berries that we purchased from Bates Landing in Belleisle, NB. We love supporting our local produce farmers and also find that their New Brunswick strawberries are the best on earth. The taste is second to none!



The local strawberry season doesn't last long. In fact, it is already coming to a close, so be sure to get out there and pick up a few pints of these ripe and juicy berries....soon! Better hurry.
