Vintage tin signs, movie stills, comic books, memorabilia, homemade fudge, movies, clothing, fashion accessories, stylish handbags, rings, furniture....you name it, this garage sale had it! Browsing around, we were very impressed and pleasantly surprised by the variety. Naturally, there were some folks who left empty-handed but, as with all garage sales, there were others (including us!) who proudly strutted around with arm-loads of treasures and left with big smiles on their faces.
We were on a specific quest to find vintage tin signs with old service garage and gas station graphics. We love anything car-related from the 50's and that is exactly what we found! From one vendor, we purchased three tin signs for $35 (Gulf, Texaco, and Diner signs). So happy!!
At other tables, we purchased "The Best Of The Diamonds" on DVD for $4 (we love their doo-wop songs and the fact that they are a Canadian quartet!). An old 1970's "Romper Room" still for $2 (Canadian kids from the 1970's and 1980's would remember this TV show). 2 hand-stitched handtowels for $6. A winter/Christmas scene print from Kennedy's Country Collection on canvas for $5. A great haul! Check it out, displayed on the backseat of our car...
Was it worth the visit, you ask? You bet! We were only in the building for about an hour and we had a blast! Overall, it was a success. We came away with $52 worth of goodies, nice memories, and new friendships!
